The Merry Maidens for 19 Magazine

Fashion, Photography, Uncategorized

I based this photoshoot around the Cornish legend of the Merry Maidens.
So it is told that nineteen maidens on their way to Sunday worship were distracted by the music of two pipers (who can be seen in a near by field).  Caught up with the music the young maidens, full of mirth, ran into a nearby field to sing and dance.  With this being a sin on The Sabbath Day, the tale tells of a lightening bolt turning the maidens and their pipers into stone as penance for their sins.  All that remains of these young maidens is nineteen stones, forever standing in a perfect circle!
